In Malaysia, Sukiya was established in March 2012 and expanded to 23 outlets by April 2025. It offers modern Japanese daily meals, including Gyudon, Ramen, Chicken Bowls, and Curry, in a restaurant environment inspired by Japanese pop culture. Ichiban Ramen has served authentic Japanese ramen with a chicken-based broth, along with other dishes like Fried Rice and Gyoza, making it accessible to everyone in Malaysia. Over the years, it has rapidly expanded, opening more outlets in shopping malls to offer a greater variety of Japanese dishes.
Ichiban Ramen is constantly redefining its recipes. The restaurant sources noodles, udon, and soba from Japanese noodle specialists to maintain high-quality standards. A dedicated central kitchen oversees the production of noodles, soups, and sauces, blending Japanese elements with locally sourced products to ensure consistent quality.
Today, Ichiban Ramen has grown into a national chain with 32 outlets and expanding across Klang Valley, Perak, Penang, Kedah, Melaka, and Johor. Ichiban Ramen aims to create a pleasant and exquisite ramen dining experience, as well as a contemporary Japanese cuisine experience for its customers.
