The Journey of HWC Coffee

The story of HWC Coffee began in 2016, when Penny Lim, along with a group of passionate coffee roasters and cuppers, founded the company. The name HWC Coffee (Hei Wo) is inspired by chernozem (black soil), which plays a crucial role in cultivating high-quality coffee beans.

In 2017, HWC Coffee took a major step by establishing a coffee plantation in Panama, offering a full range of services from coffee bean cultivation to roasting. Since then, HWC Coffee has expanded significantly, now operating 70 stores in Taiwan and marketing its products globally.

Between 2017 and 2019, China Airlines selected HWC Coffee as the official drink provider for their presidential jets and as the official souvenir for the 58th Golden Horse Awards in 2021.

In 2022, the company marked a new milestone by partnering with Malaysia's largest subscription platform, Subplace, to spearhead its overseas expansion, starting with Malaysia.
